Free Money Day is September 15th

4 Sep 2012

Sharon Ede, a fan of Women of Green and co-founder of the Post Growth Institute, is rallying forces for “Free Money Day”. On Saturday, September 15th people around the world will participate in this event by handing out their own money to complete strangers and asking recipients to pass half on to someone else.

Free Money Day is a signal interruption to business-as-usual, and a way to spark conversations about the benefits of economies based on sharing, as well as a liberating experience that gets people thinking more critically and creatively about our relationships with money.

The date of September 15 is symbolic, as it is the day Lehman Brothers collapsed, triggering global financial mayhem. Last year, there were 68 events in 19 countries around the world: http://bit.ly/FMDvideo

So are you ready to make some change – then give it all away? Be part of Free Money Day on September 15 2012. To participate in this global stunt, sign up at Free Money Day then show up.

Their motto: Sharing is common cents. What’s your two cents on this?
